Nuove restrizioni Royal Mail sugli smalti - New Royal Mail regulations on nail polish

Ciao a tutti!
Un post veloce veloce per avvisarvi che se avete fatto un ordine su A-England approfittando della promo che terminava il 15 gennaio aspettatevi dei ritardi e un po' di problemi con le spedizioni.

Innanzitutto l'iniziativa li ha sommersi di lavoro (ho letto sulla pagina Facebook che hanno ricevuto qualcosa come 3000 ordini O_O) e già questo rallenta alquanto le spedizioni. 

Come se non bastasse, esattamente dal 14 gennaio (cioè esattamente quando ho fatto l'ordine, tutta contenta e giuliva, ignara di ciò che stava per accadere) la Royal Mail applica delle nuove restrizioni per quanto riguarda il contenuto della posta: all'interno del Regno Unito si possono spedire solo 4 boccette di smalto in ogni pacchetto, che deve essere comunque etichettato propriamente.
Per quanto riguarda le spedizioni internazionali: non si può più spedire nessun quantitativo di smalto AL DI FUORI della Gran Bretagna (metto il link per saperne di più sul sito della Royal Mail).
Ecco.

Una notizia così, per una che comprando dall'Inghilterra cerca di risparmiare, vista la passione già di suo costosa che si ritrova, è un tantino spiazzante.
Perchè non etichettare allo stesso modo i pacchi e finirla lì? No, vietiamo direttamente così per comprare un cassus di OPI o di Zoya dovrei spendere 15 o 14 euro.... ma baff....!
Già in generale le cose non vanno male, peggio, pure la posta inglese si deve mettere in mezzo e rompere i cosiddetti!

Se avete problemi anche voi con sto cacchio di ordine me lo fate sapere? So che per ora la soluzione che hanno trovato è appoggiarsi a un blog o un sito americano, non ho capito, per spedire tutti i pacchetti (ma come fanno a fare arrivare gli smalti là? Boooh!).
Alla ragazza di un blog italiano, comunque, gli smalti sono arrivati quindi spero che il tutto si risolva.

Just a quick post to warn you about the problems the staff of A-England is having due to:
1. An overwhelming quantity of orders for their latest promo (link to my post)
2. Problems with the new Royal Mail restrictions on dangerous goods: basically, amongst other items, nail polishes cannot be shipped outside of UK (here is the link to the leaflet on the Royal Mail website)

I don't how the situation is for the customers outside of Europe, I just know that to deliver here in Italy they will have to ship from US (don't ask me how since the nail polishes basically can't leave the UK....).
Fortunately I've read on an Italian blog that she eventually received the nail polishes, so I hope the problem will be solved.

butter LONDON Pearly Queen

Ciao a todos!
Eccomi tornata dopo aver risolto il problemino con la SD card!
Siccome è un po' che non vi mostro degli smalti... direi che è tempo di rimediare!
Come da titolo, vi mostro il Pearly Queen della butter LONDON: si tratta di un bianco perlato con una punta di grigio diciamo non coprentissimo perchè dopo due passate si vede ancora la lunetta bianca, ma non si tratta di un difetto per me bensì di un bonus!
Uno dei miei primi smalti è stato un bianco perlato della Maybelline più o meno simile a questo, ma ancora meno opaco e mi piaceva un sacco come mi stava: l'effetto era perlato però traspariva il rosa naturale delle unghie (forse perchè ne mettevo solo uno strato)... super chic! Per questo ho un debole per i bianchi o rosini così e sono sempre alla ricerca dello stesso risultato!
Tornando al Pearly Queen, colore sì, formula ok, durata due giorni (poi l'ho cambiato, ma era ancora in buono stato).

I'm back again, with the problem of my SD card solved!
Since it's been a while that I don't show you nail polish swatches... it's time to do it!!
As you've guessed from the title, today I show you Pearly Queen by butter LONDON: it's a pearly white with a tiny bit of gray; it's not completely opaque in two coats, but for me that's an added bonus, I like it like that.
One of my first polishes was a Maybelline pearly white that was less opaque than this one (maybe because I just did one coat) and I really liked it on my nails because they were polished but you could still see the natural color of the nails coming through... super chic! That's why these kind of colors are my soft spot!
Getting back to the Pearly Queen, colour yes, formula ok, longevity dunno, I've changed polish after two days but it was still in good conditions.

I just want to warn you that there's an A-England promotion: you can get their polishes at 6£ each! Or in some pre-set duos at 10£ or trios at 14£! No delivery costs!!!
The promotion will end on the 15th of January, which means you have to hurry if want to get your hands on them!!
Saint George, Ascalon, Galahad and Bridal Veil are on my wishlist... uhmmm...

Sleek Shangri-La Collection

Qualche tempo fa ho fatto un ordine sul sito Sleek Make Up in occasione dell'uscita della collezione autunnale Shangri-La, in collaborazione con PPQ, composta da due iDivine palette e due gloss opachi (i quali non vi mostro nemmeno nel dettaglio: qualità pessima, seccano all'istante le labbra e ne esaltano ogni imperfezione, Inci pessimo per essere dei prodotti labbra e i colori sono parecchio fortini - il rosa è quasi importabile-, sempre che abbiate il coraggio di indossarli fuori di casa xD = soldi buttati).
Mi hanno colpita le immagini promozionali della collezione (che trovate nel post di Allura Beauty) e la particolarità di alcuni colori nelle palette.
Come avrete intuito dagli ad, l'ispirazione è anni '60 ed infatti alcuni nomi dei colori rendono omaggio agli artisti della Motown e la musica soul di quegli anni.
La palette con colori caldi è la Respect mentre quella con le tonalità fredde è la Supreme: in entrambe la scrivenza e la qualità degli ombretti è notevole considerato il prezzo bassissimo (poco meno di 10 €). Alcuni ombretti, specialmente i matte, sono praticamente *burro*! In più le combinazioni possibili per creare i look sono numerosissime, anche usando le due palette insieme.

Hello girls and guys!
A while back I placed an order on the Sleek UK website because the new collection for fall, called Shangri-La and designed in collaboration with PPQ, came out. It's made of two iDivine palettes and two matte glosses (that I won't even show you: they're bad quality, they instantly dry the lips out and show every single imperfection of the lips, the ingredients are quite bad as well to me and the colors are simply difficult to wear, if you dare to wear them outside your house of course xD = total waste of money).
The promo pics really striked me (you can find them on the Allura Beauty post) as well as some of the colors in the palettes.
As you have probably noticed from the ads,  the inspiration are the 60s: therefore some of the names of the colors are an omage to the Motown artists and the soul music of those years.
The palette with warm tones is the Respect Palette while the one with cool tones is the Supreme Palette: in both the quality of the eyeshadows is quite good, considering the low price. Some of the matte ones feel like *butter*! Plus, there are virtually endless possibilities of color combinations, even using the palettes together.

Ciao a tutti!
Spero abbiate passato un bel weekend come me! Finalmente da ieri qua è tornato il sole e ne ho approfittato (anche) per fare un po' di foto di swatch di trucco. Qui vi mostro lo smalto che sto indossando, Branwen's Feather della butter LONDON, un viola scuro che sembra quasi nero e ma alla luce rivela dei riflessi viola e argento (ben visibili nella foto della boccetta).
Ho dato due passate con top coat!

Finally yesterday the sun came out again and I took a lot of pictures of makeup swatches and of the nail polish I'm wearing, Branwen's Feather from butter LONDON. It's an almost black purple that reveals beautiful purple and silver shimmers in the light (clearly visible in the bottle pic.)
